Police departments around the world have utilized the techniques of jujutsu in their training for over a century. When the feudal system was abolished in Japan, jujutsu became the official hand to hand combat system taught to the Japanese Imperial Guard. Currently, Japanese police still utilizes jujutsu in their training programs. In Brazil, Grand Master Helio Gracie was requested to design a training curriculum for the Brazilian police and military. He personally participated in the training of many of those units. At Valente Brothers we are extremely proud of our long lasting relationship with the law enforcement community in Florida. Since 1995 we have been working with officers from virtually every police department in the state. Additionally, we have instructed dozens of law enforcement specific seminars at various departments.
